The CONTI® SYNCHROCHAIN CARBON timing belt operates in temperatures from -40°C to +80°C and is suitable for tropical climates.
It withstands reverse flexing and is resistant to oils, grease, fuel, acids, and alkalis, while being maintenance-free and silicone-free. Capable of speeds up to 40m/s, it offers increased power output and remains longitudinally stable throughout its lifespan.
Compared to belts with aramid cords, it has higher power transmission, longer service life, and significantly lower stretch. The belt’s carbon tension member provides up to 30% higher power output than its now discontinued predecessor, Synchrochain. This opens new possibilities for designers and users in mechanical and plant engineering.
The intelligent design includes durable polyurethane teeth and backing, high-tensile carbon tension members, and wear-resistant fabric, ensuring clean, reliable power transmission even at high torques and dynamic loads. It delivers five times the power output at the same width and can reduce overall belt width by up to 80%, lowering system costs and doubling service life compared to heavy-duty aramid belts, with enhanced drive efficiency and minimal initial tension loss.
